The dry microfine steam from Laurastar is great for applications like vinyl, cork, and leather. They also have a teflon non-stick protective soleplate that can lower the temperature of the iron for delicate surfaces. Bagmakers use Laurastar to get flat seams, especially with bulk and layers; remember that it’s always best to test materials first.

PROTECTIVE SOLEPLATE FOR DELICATE FABRICS – LIFT/GO
Designed by Laurastar’s Swiss engineers, the protective soleplate protects your delicate fabrics and prevents the appearance of shiny patches on dark fabrics. It also allows you to iron over delicate fabrics, such as silk, which are heat sensitive. This is thanks to its special coating which reduces heat.
The protective soleplate is easily attached to Laurastar irons. Start by placing the point of the iron at the front of the protective soleplate, then lower the iron to fix it into the soleplate using the rear tab. Wait around 2 minutes for the soleplate to reach the right temperature for a gentle ironing experience.
HEAT RESISTANT IRON MAT – LIFT
Designed by Laurastar’s Swiss engineers, this special insulating mat allows you to safely set down your iron when it is still hot.
WATER TANK – LIFT
The detachable water tank, with its 1.1 litre capacity, allows you to refill your steam generator at any time, without having to turn it off first. It allows for the attachment of an anti-scale filter (not included), which will filter your tap water before using it for ironing.

The Laurastar Lift Original Red steam generator has an auto-stop function which automatically switches off the appliance after ten minutes on non-use for increased safety and energy saving. The iron can safely be stored away in its secure compartment.
