About Seam Allowance Additions (Add-Ons)

Seam allowance additions are the tools you’d wish you had sooner! They allow you to automatically add on a seam allowance of .25”, .85”, or 1.21” without having to do any math. When you spend less time calculating your cuts, you can spend more time actually quilting your pieces together.

The color-coded breakdowns show what traditional blocks are made of and how the pieces go together. They show all the squares in purple, half square triangles in green, and quarter square triangles in red. To cut squares, attach the “S” Addition to your ruler. Once the fabric is cut, you’ve got yourself a square with a ¼” seam allowance all the way around. Attach the “H” Addition to make half square triangles with ¼” seam allowance all the way around, and attach the “Q” Addition to make quarter square triangles with ¼” seam allowance all the way around.
